DIY March: Calming Jar
Our March DIY craft is a calming jar! Which is basically something that makes an overstimulated or upset person (children and parent alike) go “Oooooh pretty” and stare at the falling glitter for a few minutes until they have hopefully calmed down and feel more themselves. Kind of like the snickers commercials without all the carbs, lol.
Ok! So our ingredient list this month…
One 12 oz jar with screw on lid (do not use push on lids like old candle jars)
1 Tablespoon glitter glue
1¼ cup of warm water
1 Tablespoon super fine glitter
Food coloring
This is actually a SUPER easy DIY.
Pour 1¼ cup of water into your jar.
Take your tablespoon of super fine glitter, your tablespoon of glitter glue and pour those into the jar.
Add one of two drops of the food coloring of your choice into the jar.
Close jar VERY tightly.
SHAKE! Shake it until your glue is no longer clumpy.
Then shake it up one more time, set it down and watch!
